Koku is a fully plant-based ice-cream; made from frozen coconut cream and 100% natural ingredients. With 4 flavored pints soon-to-be sold in Whole Foods, Koku launched a 6-month pop up store in the heart of Soho.

The Challenge

Set Koku apart from other plant-based desserts + design a space that feels permanent but follows the constraints of a temporary pop-up, keep the budget low, have all created/sourced assets be fully sustainable. Additionally all designs had to use the Koku logo (since it corresponded with the pint branding).

The Creative

Being one of the only 100% allergy free ice-creams, the goal was to highlight the super-food ingredients, and showcase unique flavor profiles through imagery/educational signage. The design was heavily focused on ingredients, the creamy texture of the product, and the playful and creative alchemy of flavors. This inspired all designs; from the outside of the storefront, exterior/interior decals, and signage, to the merch, menu design, and wall art.

After the success of the sixth month Koku Scoop Shop, Koku was invited to do several tasting events at Whole Foods. Koku now can be found at Whole Foods throughout the U.S.
